What Is PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)?
PRP is a regenerative treatment that uses plasma enriched with platelets derived from your own blood. A small amount of blood (8–10 cc) is collected and processed to separate red and white blood cells from the plasma, resulting in platelet-rich plasma with a higher concentration of growth factors than normal.
How Does PRP Work?
The platelets in PRP release growth factors that stimulate the body’s natural repair processes and attract stem cells. This enhances:
Collagen production
Blood circulation
Tissue regeneration
PRP supports skin rejuvenation, hair restoration, and wound healing.
Benefits of PRP Treatment
Restores elasticity, radiance, and vitality to aging skin
Reduces hair loss and boosts the effects of other hair treatments
Accelerates skin recovery after laser or chemical peel procedures
Supports healing of scars, stretch marks, and minor wounds
How Is PRP Administered?
Blood is drawn and processed (30–45 minutes total)
The platelet-rich plasma is injected into the targeted area using fine needles
A topical anesthetic may be applied for comfort
Because the plasma comes from your own blood, allergic reactions are not a concern
Treatment Plan and Results
Typically 3–4 sessions, spaced 3–4 weeks apart
Maintenance sessions every 6–12 months for long-term benefits
Effects usually become noticeable after 3 weeks
PRP rejuvenates the skin naturally and can be combined with lasers, chemical peels, or Dermapen treatments for enhanced results
Who Should Avoid PRP?
Individuals with low platelet counts
Cancer patients
People on blood-thinning medications
Anyone with active infection in the treatment area
Areas Treated with PRP
Face
Scalp (especially post-hair transplant)
